International Fertiliser Industry Association

From the very early stages of our planning, we appreciated the ability of Into Africa's management team to listen to our requirements, advise us and provide clear costs.

Our aim was to secure welcome services for a group of 1300 high-level business executives from more than 75 countries, including tour activities for accompanying persons and tailor-made post tour options.

During the conference itself, your team impressed us with impeccable logistics, reliability and great dedication at all times. Our participants enjoyed the scheduled tours and we have received extremely favourable comments on the post tours and how individual requests were met.

An important point for us, as organisers, was your ability to synchronise with other partners involved in the conference and work very nicely with them, providing excellent logistical support.

Also very much appreciated was the clarity and details of our financial accounts and the fact that they closely matched your initial estimates.

Oriflame Cosmetics

We have just completed one of the most successful programmes in the history of our corporate incentives. All of our consultants and their invited guests have returned to their various home markets across the globe buzzing with excitement over their two week programme in Zambia and South Africa.

A large part of the programme success has to do with the incredible efforts that our contracting DMC partner, Into Africa, placed into the programme.

From the beginning stages of our contact, 3 years ago, the relationship has been one marked by an ease of communication, responsiveness, willingness to work with our programme and budgetary needs, and the effort to always go the extra step to work with our company. We have hosted many programmes in many countries and have a great deal of experience to speak from when we evaluate the skills of vendors.

Sun International

Into Africa is currently one of Sun International's preferred "Platinum" partners. Into Africa have been contracted with Sun International for more than 10 years and we have always enjoyed an excellent business relationship with them.

As a Destination Management Company, Into Africa brings with them a wealth of experience in Southern Africa. The attention to detail, planning and operational expertise is always met well beyond expectations.

We would not hesitate in recommending this superb organisation to handle Events, Conferences or Incentives within Southern Africa.

Madelein Norval from Into Africa did the most amazing job for our California Coast Chapter couples retreat that was held in South Africa. Her team handled all of the intricate details for us which was especially valuable as we are based in California and we had to depend on her and her team to be our on the ground resource for everything. Our group was blown away by the experience and Madelein made it all happen in a very calm way. She was always ahead of the curve in planning for unforeseeable circumstances without any panic or fuss whilst all along not looking for any credit for the success of our events. It was an absolute pleasure working with her and Into Africa and I'd do it again in a heart beat.

Incentive Travel & Corporate Meetings

The ITCM Magazine Familiarisation Trip to Cape Town and Sun City totally dazzled the members of our group, who were all highly experienced UK corporate travel specialists. It was not just that a complex itinerary went so smoothly and comfortably, but that Into Africa was able to bring into play so many fascinating and knowledgeable people to add great depth and understanding to everything we saw. We were also amazed and delighted at travelling in everything from a motor-cycle sidecar to a private plane.

We all came away from South Africa so much more informed about it's recent history, it's vigorous efforts to make progress, it's beautiful landscape and wildlife and it's dynamic people, as well, of course, about the superb hotels and conference facilities. We were very impressed with the country - and with Into Africa, that was able to inject so much into such a short space of time.

For our client Würth, all 1500 guests from all over the world and also the Congress Team all the hard work paid off: we got an enthusiastic and overwhelming response to the event; numerous Thank you letters and e–mails bear testimony for the deep impression the congress left with all participants.

We would like to forward this gratefulness to you and your team. Without you – and especially your consistent and dedicated commitment we wouldn’t have been able to realize this project. The calmness with which you mastered the scale and complexity of this task as well as you handled the many amendments and points of action was impressive. Thank you very much for this!

We hope that we will have another possibility to work with you in the future.

Civitas

I am writing to try to express in words the appreciation I and all of us involved in the Thirteenth World Congress on Civic Education have for the unbelievable job performed by Into Africa.

As you know, we hold a World Congress each year to bring together the hundreds of people we work with in more than 80 countries around the world. This is the seventh World Congress that I have supervised as director of the Center’s International programs. Without any doubt it was the best ever, both in terms of levels of participation and number of countries represented, but also in the quality of the venue, program, and arrangements.

Into Africa made a key contribution to this success. Your company’s knowledge of local arrangements and the quality of your staff surpassed any expectations we might have had. The people who work in our network vary greatly in their sophistication and experience internationally. Your staff were able to address any and all questions about the arrangements for the conference itself and for various excursions that you offered to the participants before and after the event.

Despite exhaustive planning, there are always unanticipated, last minute demands from our participants, speakers, or sponsors. Normally, the stress of dealing with these adjustments, which can make or break the success of the conference, bear down on our program staff, leaving us exhausted and irritable by the end. This year your staff were there with a smile and a can do attitude no matter how outrageous or unexpected the request, leaving us to do our job of ensuring the best possible experience for our participants. For the first time in many years I returned from this event exhilarated and looking forward to next year–if we can find a company like yours to help us again.

I think that perhaps that is the best compliment I can offer: if we could bottle Into Africa and take you with us for every event in every corner of the world where we run programs and organize workshops and conferences we would do so.

Thank you for the outstanding effort, the attention to detail, the enthusiasm with which you responded to every emergency, and the warmth of human spirit you exhibited. We will miss South Africa, but we will miss you and your support even more when we begin our organizing activities in earnest next year.

If the occasion ever arises, please do not hesitate to offer a potential client the opportunity to speak with us about the magnificent result they will have from an association with you.

Report from our educational tour to Botswana and Zambia May 12 – 18, 2009

South African Airlines from London – Johannesburg – Livingstone, return journey. Very pleasant flights. New aircrafts on both longhaul flights. The service in economy was very good. Friendly staff, spacious seats.

MAY 13
We arrived in Livingstone, a small airport in Zambia, just after lunchtime. From Gothenburg to Livingstone via London and Johannesburg the journey took about 24 hours. But, you don’t have to think about jet-leg as you have no time difference from Europe. In Zambia we had to pay USD 80 for a visa and then we went by a minibus to the place where the rivers Chobe and Zambesi meet. We crossed the rivers in a small boat and this is where the four countries, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia and Zimbabwe meet as well. After entering Botswana, we continued to our accommodation for the two first nights, Elephant Valley Lodge in the Kasane Forest, close to Chobe National Park. The journey from Livingstone airport took about two hours.

Elephant Valley Lodge was a very positive experience. They have 20 tents, all of them with twin beds, shower and toilet and a little terrace. From seven of the tents you have a marvelous view from these terraces over the water hole where the wild animals come to drink water, especially in the evenings. Within the lodge there is also a restaurant, a bar and a swimmingpool. This lodge is perfect for groups of 15–30 people. So relaxing and so very close to unspoiled nature. The game life is very rich with lots of animals.

MAY 14-15
Starting from the lodge we made safaris both in a jeep and in a boat. In Chobe National Park you can find the largest population of wild elephants in the world, 120 000 elephants. A great experience to see these wild and big animals sometimes walking just a few meters away from the jeep! We also saw lions, giraffes, impalas, kudus, baboon, hippos, crocodiles and many richly coloured birds. This is the place to go if you want to see lots of wild animals and at the same time experience a different accommodation. To go to sleep in one of those tents listening to all the different sounds of Africa is something you will always remember. But remember to bring warm clothes as the evenings and nights can be very cold. The electric blanket in the bed was very appreciated.

MAY 15
After a very early safari (starting 06.00) we had breakfast and then we left Elephant Valley Lodge and Botswana for Zambia and a completely different accommodation, The Royal Livingstone Hotel close to Victoria Falls. This is a 5–star deluxe hotel with all the services of such an accomodation. Everything from your own butler outside the beautiful rooms to one of the most fantastic breakfast settings I have ever seen. This is not a cheap alternative but within the chain Sun International there are also other alternatives such as Zambesi Sun. This hotel, 3*–star, is within walking distance from Royal Livingstone and even closer to Victoria Falls. A very good alternative for groups with a lower budget. Nice hotel rooms and meeting rooms.

MAY 15-17
From here you can also go on safaris even though the game life is not as rich as in Chobe National Park. We did a lot of activities during these two days, like a river cruise on the Queen of Africa, paddling on the Zambesi river, a walk in the bush with nearly wild lions, a fantastic dinner in an African Village (if you have a group coming here, make a reservation for this dinner as I can promise you they will never forget it).

The contrasts were so big during this educational tour. One evening dinner in the African village under the most beautiful starry sky and the next evening dinner on board The Royal Livingstone Express, an old steam engine train. A very luxurious for up to 92 persons. During a four hour journey we had a fantastic dinner and we also saw a lot of the surroundings. Everything is included and for the cost of USD 100 per person you have a welcome drink served at the red carpet when you arrive, the journey itself and a five courses dinner including wine. Very praiseworthy. The dinner in the village was more expensive but perhaps more memorable according to our opinion.

The last day we visited Victoria Falls, also an activity to remember. The falls are about 1.7 km and the height of the falls 110 meters. The spray from the falls can be seen from Royal Livingstone Hotel.

As a summary, this was one the best educational tours I have ever attended. I have never experienced that much during such a short time. I want to thank Lut and IntoAfrica for giving me the opportunity to see these very exciting destinations.

Everywhere we met friendly and dedicated people, the food and beverage was very tasteful during all the meals and there were lots of activities adaptable to different categories of groups. If we have groups looking for something special, I know we can send them here knowing that you will take good care of them and we will have satisfied clients coming back to us. Once again thank you and I do look forward to come back to Africa soon.
